Thank you again everyone - I really appreciate all your comments and support. I love watching the cranes do their dance and was so surprised to read that there are still so many here now that winter has arrived and the marshes are frozen. I expected them to head south before now.

Beautiful capture of these magnificent wild creatures. The lighting is perfect. We have a big Sandhill Crane migration to the playas near Wilcox, Arizona every year.

My heart, my heart (written complete with a bit of clutching in the area!) :) Rona, what a beautiful, incredibly wonderful shot! The golden fields and wonderful light surrounding this trio is sheer magic - and such wonderful detail in the feathering of these magnificently wide spread wings...they ARE dancing! I love sandhill cranes and on my recent visit down south, hoped to get into the sanctuary in Mississippi but I drove thru on a Sunday and they were closed!! :( This is an exquisite capture complete with absolutely wonderful information. Kudos on both! And definitely a fave!
