In art galleries throughout Maui, we saw expensive oil and watercolor paintings of the beautiful island's landscape. I created my own "painting" by adding a slight texture to my photo in PS Elements. Canon PowerShot G3.

Great job! Boom we have a painting. You know they print up so nice too. I love the charcoal effect also. The shot is beautiful to work with know that! Cheryl

Thank you Damian, Robert, Cheryl, Bernard and June Marie. We had visited this church in previous visits and always found the grounds and view so peaceful and breath-taking. By the way, the church is St. John's Episcopal Church in the Maui "upcountry" town of Kula.

I'm an editor, so forgive me while I edit myself. That should be "breathtaking," no hyphen. LOL.

You did get around, didn't you Patricia? This is really beautiful - as have been all of your Maui postings. I recognized the west projection of the isthmus and knew you were upcountry somewhere. There's always so many new things to see on every trip (I'll remember this church!)

Thanks, Janelle. We had a long driving day this day. I made my husband drive high into the upcountry to take me to the only winery on Maui -- Tedeschi Vineyards. St. John's was a stop along the way. If you haven't visited the winery, you should next time around (they've got pineapple wine!). They've changed their marketing and now call themselves "Maui's Winery at Ulupalakua Ranch."
