Wow, I LOVE this shot!!! It looks like you were actually in the water with the hippo. Where/how was it taken? Congratulations on your winner.

Thank you, Anne. And, yes, you guessed it, I was in the water with him. No, actually this was taken at our local zoo in San Antonio, TX. The hippo pond is up against the building I was in. It has glass walls to form a kind of aquarium. The hippo just happened to be standing there, seemingly posing for me.

If only we could swim with the hippos ... without them eating us of course! I really like hippos and this is such a beautiful shot with all the brightly coloured fishes too. Well done!
