Very unusual behavour for bats, I would say. They must have got tired of humans chasing them. HAHA! And what a sight it must have been :0)

Thanks everyone! Oh I knew we had bats in Vegas Candice and I have never liked them. Usually see them up by the street lights. I kept telling the other couple, they only want bugs, they are after the bugs..hahahaha

Why does this sound like an episode of "Scooby Doo"? LOL! You should have run backwards so that you could get a picture of the bats chasing you! Ha! Ha! Gorgeous image even without the bats, Tammy! Love the way you captured the beautiful landscape through the arches! Nicely done! :)

Six million freetail bats live under the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin...C'mon down, Tammy!! :) This is a gorgeous place for bats to lurk in the shadows just waiting for unsuspecting passerbys...looks like a scene from a Mediterranean country...much better than the Congress Avenue Bridge! Super capture, Tammy!

Tammy- Ok City, now that I have stopped laughting from reading your story, I can comment on the picture. Personally I think this one deserves the gold. I just love the pov of the shot, how you got back a bit, really highlighted the beautiful arches, then as we look through them, the colors and shapes of the buildings, then the mountains behind them, then that viviv blue sky. Gorgeous dimentions and the finish is gorgeous. Stunning work my friend.

Patricia, they weren't coming after us. It was just dusk and they were waking up and chasing bugs. If you ever watch them do that they are flying all over the place and every which way :) Just seems like they are chasing you~ Hee
