Thanks, Kitty for your comments. It takes place every year in Sept. at Custer State Park. They round up all the buffalo once a year to vaccinate, wean the calves and and brand them, and preg check the females. People volunteer to bring their horses to help I believe. they managed to get all of them except one cow and calf. Would get them later, they said. It is quite a deal, the year I was there, I want to say about 20,000 people showed up to watch. Venders set up their tents, there is music and food. I was on a elderhostel photo trip and we got there really early to get a good spot to take pictures. It was really windy that day, dirty and dusty, but had a great time. Thanks, again. :)
