A very sad day in our recent history. I know that most of us know where we were and what we were doing on that fateful day. I also feel that many Americans have already forgotton.

Terrible terrible day. I still remember where I was and who was with me. You sure do have a lot of photos of that day. I have one in my gallery I took in 1987. The towers were so beautiful standing so tall together.

Well I am an American and I have never forgotten. I also feel like our children and grandchildren might not really understand , it will just be some pictures in a book, just another part of history. But for a lot us we all know the destruction and the horror of that day. When Sept 11 comes around it is always there in my mind. So sad that this happened and it is not forgotten.

Thanks for all your comments. I did get a lot of photos that day, Kay, but they were all taken in a matter of about a minute. Then the smoke cloud swept right across the East River to the Brooklyn shore. I had my 1 1/2 yr old with me and needed to get her inside two blocks away as fast as possible! It all happened so fast.

Thank you so much for posting Lisa..it keeps it always in our hearts,no matter how many years go by. Still feels like yesterday when I saw those towers come down on tv. My heart is just as sad today, as it was 9 years ago on this anniversary.
