And a great background it is, Karol. I love it. The tomatoes themselves look out of this world - I adore fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes.
Is this a layered composite or did you distort the actual background these tomatoes were on and then take out the distortion on the tomatoes themselves? All sorts of exciting possibilities are running around in my mind...

Thank you so much, Nikki. I duplicated the image of the tomatoes, then used the PS Wave Distort Filter on that duplicate. I then opened the original and distorted the background as layers in PS and brought the tomatoes through the background using layer masking. It's a lot of fun to see what you can do with the Wave Distort filter. There are so many sliders that the possibilities are endless. It's actually hard to decide which one to use.

Whoa, I really appreciate the detail, Karol. This is one of the things I envisioned but it's great to have your description and I think it's actually simpler than I would have done. The cool thing is the way it gives you exactly the same tones in the background as in the subject (duh :) Really liking the possibilities here and not just with Wave Distort (which I'm not sure I have in Elements)

You're very welcome. I hope you have fun with it. Another cool thing about Wave Distort is that, depending on the size you end up with (by using the sliders), there can be miniature repetitions of your original photo sprinkled throughout the distorted version. I don't know if you an see the miniature tomatoes in this one or not.
