Ferarri with a View: Barn #4


	Ferarri with a View: Barn #4 ---- Centre Hill Farm, in New Hope, Pennsylvania, was #4 on the Audubon Bucks County Barns of Distinction Tour this summer. ------- This barn featured a shining surprise...so shining that I could not photograph it properly with the light streaming in from the top of the door. But I felt obliged to show it to you. ----- The 1955 Ferarri is one of a collection of the Farm's owner. The docent at this barn explained that this retired race car is valued higher than the entire estate! ----- On the outside of the barn, and scratched in several places inside, is the date 1785, and the original owner's initials, MP, for Moses Paxson. This is the oldest known date stone on any barn in Bucks County. -------- Michelle Alton

Excellent image, Michelle!! I guess you used HDR work to correct the exposure outside!! As for the car...if I had it, I'm sure it would be out of that barn a fair bit!!!

Wow, Michelle - what a gorgeous classic car...and it's hidden away in just a fabulous old barn, too!! I agree with Kate J, "if I was that Ferrari I would back in so I could look at the wonderful view"!! :o)

They REALLY built barns (well, this one at least!) to last in the 1700's, didn't they?!! I LOVE the stonework here...and the light, textures, details, tones and composition all are exceptional, too!! :o)
