Thank you, everyone, for your very nice comments. I was fortunate enough to be only a few feet away when this little beauty cuddled up and went to sleep. When I saw the reflection and the adorable position he/she was in, I couldn't resist. I got down on my knees and took quite a few shots, without disturbing him/her at all. I'm so glad I was able to capture this moment in time.

Thank you, K, Deborah, Marie, Claudia, Donna and Jim. This one being a finalist is very bittersweet to say the least. This little baby died some time early yesterday morning. He was no doubt another victim of our huge snapping turtles. Our whole lake community is devastated over the loss of our last surviving cygnet. He was only a month old, just starting to grow out of his baby downy fuzz and get his feathers. Now all we have are pictures and memories...
