Thanks Achie and Bob. I shot this with a Nikkor 60mm macro lens. There are lots of these Tiger beetles at Yates Mill Pond, in Raleigh. I took lots of pictures and this one was one of the best. Yes, they are skittish..have to be patient, and move veeeeery sloooowly...
