Couldn't resist playing around with Polar manipulation, and some warping, resulting in an egg-sphere of the church's inner dome.

Thanks, Gene! I always have fun messing around with filters. The "double-Polar-Coordinates" trick - to make a photoball - created an ellipse initially (since the photo was rectangular, not square, to begin with). And then I did a 180-degree turn on the "circle with the saint" (against the blue background at lower center), so that he was upright (the initial result had him upside down). Finally, I used the Transform-Warp to tweak the ellipse into more of an egg/oval shape. An egg shape seemed appropriate for a photo of a czarist-era church dome, given the Faberge connection with the czars, etc.
