Great job. I tried getting a good shot of a spider web recently....man, it wasn't as easy as I thought.

Thanks Ruth, I had to do some cropping on the original to get this effect. Something I have never done till now. I have always been taught that if you have to alter the original concept, then your not showing quality skill with the camera at the get-go. Kinda like cheating. I have come to realize that if you don't capture the general idea you have or feel in the first place, you have nothing to work with and the idea is lost. Especially on shots that don't give you time to think. When you quit learning new grooves, you get passed up. I have learned more in the past 6 months by observing the shots of others at this site than I have in the last 2 years snapping and reading. Lots of talent here. I feel lucky to be a part of it. Thanks for your comment, Dudley

Hi Carol, If you stare at the spider, do you feel like the web is tubular instead of flat? I like the web drawing my eyes to the spider. I hate spiders, but I watched this one with amazement as he built this massive web every night for a week. Thanks for your comments Dudley
