That's a pretty good coon shot. But, the one who is loony is the person who is feeding the coon bread. Only starving coons will eat plain bread. They prefer foods with lots of fat like pizza and chicken. This is the reason they often will tip over garbage cans. But, they also like bird seed and nuts. I fed baby coon kits peanuts via peanut wreath in exchange for pictures in my backyard in Lafayette, Louisiana. This is also the reason my bird feeders are on a wire from the roof to the tallest tree. Check out my backyard wildlife album at: http://tinyurl.com/nyuqk9

She probably was starving when we first met her - she was an orphan who decided to live in a tree in our yard. Bread was not the only food - just the most visible. We regularly have as many as 16 coons of all sizes in the summer visiting our feeder. They aren't starving, but they enjoy the treats.
