I am just loving this one too, Mitch -- all the entries are not in yet but I'm betting on it for a big score in the 101 theme. And more! What a wonderfully soulful look -- he's not too happy about those antlers at all, is he? And what a great ending to his story -- you must be so very pleased to know the part your photos played in his placement. Wonderful composition.

Funny, when I started my comment, I thought it would be right after Arlene's -- but Susie, Les and Monnie all got in between us. Says something about my verbosity but says more about the immediacy of the impact this image has on the viewer, I think :)

I am so happy he has a happy ending!! I can't believe he's been there that long! I also volunteer at our local spca photographing the animals up for adoption, and know how rewarding it is to help find these sweet babies homes with our cameras and stories!!

Hey Mitch, one of our best friends is from Omaha (now in Ohio), so we've been cheering Nebraska on since somewhere in the mid-1960s. And, we Ohio State fans have an extra-special reason to rejoice if they beat Arizona in the bowl game! We'll cross our fingers that everything comes up roses and corn!

Awwww..... he's a beautiful dog, that makes me so sad to know how many are in his same position but I'm so happy that he'll have a new home soon and I just pray that the rest of his life will be so wonderful that he'll forget his difficult first years!
