Sculpture In Harmony...
Catch All - Nov.6/09

"Rafaga Unleashed" is five tons of stainless steel/bronze rising to a height of sixteen feet and represents metallurgy and navigation, and the intense life of my city- Hamilton, Ontario Canada.
Made by Veronica de Nogales Leprevost(Barcelona, Spain) and her husband (a Hamiltonian) Edwin Dam. They have many works on public display and permanent public monuments all over the world. Rafaga Unleashed is found down at the Waterfront Trust- Pier 8.

Christine- It is always a thrill to see the work of other artist and take in thier creativity. In this picture we have one artist's concept of the look of another artist work. I love the silhouetted look of this beautiful sculpture and you timed it perfect with that glowing beuatiful sky with its gorgeous colors and cloud formations. This picture is represents the work of three artist.
Remarkable work my friend.
Have a wonderful weekend, take some time to enjoy it.

Hello Teresa, yes the bronze man and the wowman are part of the sculpture..
Rafaga Unleashed is made of out Stainless steel and bronze, These materials were selected not only for its aesthetic qualities but to reflect light from far away, becoming a reference point for boat navigation and for the citizens of Hamilton and Tourism.
Thanks for coming by...

I'm so proud of you Christine. I remember your first days here. You have really grown by leaps and bounds and looking through your gallery is such a pleasure. You sure keep it "live" by being so diverse as well...What a pleasure.

This one is totally cool. I love the darkening light of the sky creating adventure an excitement and mystique to the bronze figurines who are hard at work!

Wonderful ART by THEM and by YOU!

Really like this a lot Christine.
The dramatic sky is the perfect backdrop for this grand art in near silhouette.

No doubt, Chrissy. It was November when I wrote that! HA! Oh I just LOVE old age. It is surely setting in.

I can still remember my little red trike though. Is that good? That was back in 1964. HA!

Hi Steve, I had to re-read your comment "illegal smokes"... Ha! Got it~ I believe you are heading to one of the 'Reserves' here?

THANK You very much for your wonderful comments- I'm thrilled and honored you looked through- THANK You!

This scupture is located near Williams Coffee Pub and our Discovery Centre near the foot of John Street... at Bay St. - that is where Bayfront Park is and the red tug boat you see in my gallery up on the sand..(one pic of a tight crop of it - other pic with many kids in costume standing around it.) Both are within walking distance...
Email if you need more info..
