Well, darn, I was sure I'd like the black and white the best, you know. Because I really do like it, but now I can't decide. I love them both. The canted background is just great behind him. So is the reflection in his glasses of his far away hand below. And, of course, he's a great character.

Thanks, Jeana, Deb, Tess, Mitch, Dominick, Nancy, Leslie, Mike, Mel, Tammy! It's fun to see you all weighing in with your preference -- I'm like Mitch and Tess and just can't decide. I usually prefer candid people shots in black and white as the colors are often distracting and do not enhance the subject but in this case, I thought the red and blues worked very well. He was indeed colorful -- compelling reason for picking the color version, Mel -- and said he might use this capture on the cover of his next CD if I sent it to him so I did. Let me know if you ever see it out there :) The music was excellent, Mel. I could have stayed quite awhile but when you're doing Boston in two days, you don't have time to linger.
