Rest Easy Bobby

Rest Easy Bobby
Rest Easy Bobby
We lost one of our ferrets today. He passed on right in our arms. His name is Bobby and he was our "calm, cool, surfer-dude" ferret. He had been ill for awhile and took a turn for the worse overnight. My wife and I took him to the vet and it was grave. Sure, there were some things that maybe they could do to prolong agony or let him down and rest. The vet left the room to let us think things over. Before we had to choose, he passed right there in our arms. He didn't want us to have to decide.

Rest Easy Bobby.

So sorry to hear that your beloved pet ferret has passed away. It is never easy and it's always a tough call to make. Beautiful dedication and capture of Bobby.

Michael, I am so sorry to hear about Bobby too... I have tears in my eyes, just thinking about your loss.. I know, I don't know you.. but anyone that cares for a pet is special to me..
We just bought a 'strange pet' for our family, I mean, strange because we only ever had dogs... we bought a pet rat... she has only been with us since she was 6 weeks (she will be 9 this weekend) and I know I am going to take it hard when she passes on.. she reminds us of a puppy... we are very happy!

Such a sad story Michael and I, too, am very sorry to hear that your dear pet and friend has passed away. Any of us who has had a pet knows your pain. I have loved many and lost many but they were always a blessing and so worth it.

May your sweet memories of him get you through this sad time. He truly is out of any pain and misery now.

This is a very sweet capture of him, too. He was really pretty.

I have no words to add to those above, Michael. A lovely photo of Bobby. Adieu! You'll see him again on the "Rainbow Bridge."

I'm so sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. I just lost my cat Boo about 4 months ago and I'm still crying everytime I think of him. I hope Michelle is right about the Rainbow Bridge.

  Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

(so sorry to hear about your beloved Bobby! My heart goes out to you!)
