In Duckweed and watermeal plants. The ponds were covered with these tiny plants. It is really neat looking. Taken at the Jacksonville Zoo. Jacksonville. Florida.

Great capture of this bird in amongst all the duckweed which makes for great colour contrast against the white of the bird and thanks for sharing the information on duckweed. Duckweed has always fascinated me. I was never sure what it was or what it was called but thanks to you I now know everything about duckweed and that it has a useful purpose. Learn something new everyday.
