09/09 B - Fresh Raspberries

Fresh Raspberries
Canon 40D, 100mm 2.8 macro lens, ISO 400, 5 seconds, white balance 5500K, remote switch, tripod, white reflector used opposite light coming in door way to illuminate left side of fruit and bowl, taken at approximately 30 degree down angle, berries were placed on a white cutting board, an off white mat board was used for the background, bent in a curve to keep from getting a definite line in the background, wished the lighting had been better, was an overcast day and door had a UV screen in it, light would have been better with some sunlight.

John Singleton's Gallery 		  Karen, thanks for the kind words. I wish the light was better. We have had so much rain as of late and my work schedule has worked well with the "good light". I have dabbled with food photography. I did a lot of reading and talked several times with a couple highly regarded food photographers in our area. It is actually fun and much more difficult than I thought. The chocolate one was a great one. Yes, I am a chocoholic as well.
