	We Kiss the Ground You Walk On Bighorn Sheep (Ovis canadensis) lick the surface of the rocks to absorb essential minerals. This behavior helps them survive in a harsh environment. It's not uncommon for a herd to return to the same "lick" time and time again. Bob Cammarata
