CANADIAN ROCKY MOUNTAINS
S.End,Wedge Pond
Kananaskis Country, Alberta

Technicals: High Elevation, Early Afternoon...(Re: T.O.D. (Time Of Day), in some areas The Rockies are so huge that early afternoon shots are more the wise as the late afternoon sun casts quite the shadows. I shot fast (1/1000) kept my ISO high...and took it into curves to darken the forest side a bit for effect.

So glad you're back Laura. This is so beautiful. I love the framing of the dark trees leading your eye into the beautiful view. Excellent composition and capture.

Laura, how BEAUTIFUL! Great composition and contrast. Love the placid water that leads the eye to the mountains. Gorgeous! And you captured a blue sky. :D

The best to you! Nancy J Locke

Hi Ann, Nancy, Monnie and Mumj!

We went for a beautiful nature walk around the Lake yesterday. Our first time doing that...I just loved these openings along the way. It seemed as if we stopped 25 times just to pause and be in AWE for a few moments before walking on!

Thanks for your kind comments!!!

-Laura :) !!!

Thank you VERY much Max, Renata, Stef, Tommy, Lynne, Teresa, Wm, CRC Sis Karen, TWIN Doone and SSSKiki!!!

What a delight to have you all here with me for the first performance of SWAN LAKE.

The orchestra is grand (The sounds of chipmunks and birds) and the seating is unlimited. (Fallen tree logs in the forest!)...

If we are lucky we will see a fish jump out of the water before the first act!

SSSKiki, no worries...you are early. People are still buying popcorn! (I don't advise this however. The bears can smell it!).

I so enjoy your comments everyone. They encourage me very very much. :)
