This is great! Wonderful, Michelle! It reminds me of some old favorites (books) by James Harriet; one was "All Creatures Great and Small" but there were others in the series - all about a country vet in Yorkshire, England in the 1930's, I believe. Farmers had great affection for their cows and all of them had names. They were almost pets. Probably true today as well, at least among the smaller dairy farmers! Outstanding treatment here, as well!
