Great picture Heather, the contrast is nicely done, I don't think I have ever seen a yellow iris like this one before. It's beautiful.

These yellow irises grow wild in our area ( Eastern Ontario) in wet habitats such as marshes, pond edges and wet ditches. This photo was taken at at wetland/marsh I often visit to look for birds.
