Amy- My head must have been somewhere other than on my sholders to have missed this stunning beauty. Anything with a horse in it is always a winner to me and this has to be one of the most beautiful horse pictures I have ever seen. The brightness and clarity are spectacular. The beach scene is heavenly, the colors of the horses and the way they are posed is gorgeous. Love the intrecate details. A must have for my favorites.

Christine, this is in Maryland, there are two herds of wild horses there, one on Assateague Island, Maryland (where I took this photo) and then another right next to it, separated only by fencing, on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.

I was on Chincotegue Island as a kid. The horse flies were HORRIBLE. I cried and wouldn't go outside. If you've never been biten by a horse fly ....they draw bloood!! Hopefully the day you took this AWESOME, INCREDIBLE, STUNNING capture they weren't bad. I knew we'd see this again. And I know we'll see it again next month as well. Amy, whenever I look at your photo I will be reminded of my attempt & failure to photograph these ponies.
boy, I can relate and have the bugbites to prove it. guess we have to suffer for "our art". It's a wonderful, amazing photo. your photo should be on a
Assateague brochure or at the very least in the gift shop. since I won't be going back anytime soon, maybe I should buy one as a reminder of what I missed... congratulations on a winner!
