Light of Day

  Light of Day
Light of Day
I took these photos as part of the FFFP BetterPhoto club July challenge. We were to shoot the same subject in morning, midday and afternoon or evening light. Though the subject was simple, I did like the way the light changed the appearance of the coneflower and thought a composite showed that the best. Tried this in Flowers; re-submitting in Catch-All October 18, 2009

Nikke- Well, girl, I agree with this beauty being entered into the flowers catagory. Even when I first just saw the thumbnail I knew you had something special here. The different shades of green created by shooting at different times of the day made for a fabulous background and presentation. It is a wonderful lesson and as one studies the flowers we see how the light affects the shot. I also love the fact that while it gave the flwer a different look each time, you did a gorgeous job of still bringing out the colors and the definitions of the flowers features.
Incredible work my friend, love this look alot.
Have a wonderful day, you take care.

I love the triptych as an essay form, Nikki, and this is a striking one. I'd love also to see more of this sort of thing encouraged and recognized at BP. The sometimes subtle changes in light during the day are made beautifully apparent here.
