I have read up on that magical lens of yours, Michelle. It is an awesome lens, of course it helps to have a great photographer pointing it. Beautiful image

Michelle- No idea what they are but your beautiful picture is a great example of the beauty and fasinating shapes and designs of even a weed. You show such wonderful textures that they have, love their soft colors, and the angled shot you took. A beautiful presentation of these weeds that show us the beauty they have.
Outstanding work my friend.
Have a wonderful day, take care.

  This is really beautiful, Michelle!
The tones are just lovely! :-)

But a weed is simply a plant that wants to grow where people want something else. In blaming nature, people mistake the culprit. Weeds are people's idea, not nature's. ~Author Unknown ~

So beautifully captured, Michelle!!! These weeds were everywhere when I was a child and it really bothers me that I don't know what they are. :O/ Now I have to do a search... BTW, we would pick them, fold the lower stem over just behind the seed head, pull and shoot them like rockets. Amazing what kids in the '50s did for entertainment!

Yes it IS!!! Another friend, who grew up in Virginia ID'd it recently -- and I quickly misplaced its name in my brain! He remembers making necklaces for his sisters from these flowers. I wonder why, of all pretty weeds, this one is the source of so much childhood fascination!
