Chris: Thank you very much for the visit and comment! White Sands is an amazing place. The sand is the whitest sand in the world and very light. Wind makes those patterns and one has to find places where no one has stepped on the patterns to get an unspoiled shot. Photographers take their shots from within the dunes. I hike almost every time I go and find seclusion somewhere. It is a magical place. Hope you can get there one day! Tom
