Hi Jim,
This is really a beautiful photo! And I think it will be a great choice for the "Where in the World?" quiz in BetterPhoto's monthly PhotoFlash newsletter.
Kerry

Hi Everyone,
Enjoy guessing where Jim shot this scene. We'll check in from time to time over the coming days, but we won't reveal the answer until next week ... so keep guessing! :-)

Thanks,
Kerry

I agree it looks like Turkey, but I guess the Hieropolis at Pamukkale, Turkey. Love the shadows and the stone in the foreground.

My guess would be fountain's abbey in England, I can't remember exactly what part of england). But the lighting is very cool and nice and warm.

My daughter went to Jordan for Spring Break 2009. If it isn't Jerash, Jordan as Eugenio says, then there's one some where else in the world that looks a lot like it.

Eugenio Diaz and Sarah G guessed this location. It is the Roman ruins of Jaresh in Jordan. This arch was built in honor of the visit of the emperor Hadrian in 168 A.D.
