Africa, Tanzania, Ngorongoro Crater, Safari. The Maasai continue to live a primitive life style. One of the most amazing aspects is the difficulty of getting water. People must walk long distances each week to collect containers of water. It often takes six hours round trip.

Thank you for sharing this story and outstanding capture with us. How very blessed we are to walk into the kitchen and get a glass of water anytime we want. Beautiful color, outstanding composition and awesome light...a winning image to me.
Each time I take a sip of water today I will remember this amazing capture!

Beautiful Karen. Those trees are so different and I like the way the dirt road leads you to that steep drop. What a way to live. I count my blessings every day!

I really do love this one, Karen. Henri Rousseau came to mind immediately -- the unusual (for me) shapes of the trees, the deep rich colors and the overall composition are all beautiful. This must have been an amazing trip.

Thank you all so very much for your kind comments. This was such an amazing experience and I'm thrilled to share some of it with you. We are very blessed to live the way we do. We take so many things for granted and trips like this help me appreciate my life even more than I usually do.
