Historic cold in Maine.

The temperatures are just brutal out.

Maine broke the record of 49 below in 1925 with a new record of 50 below in Northern Maine.. Yesterday morning when we got up @ 5a.m. it was 38 below zero and it always gets colder in the first few hours.
Stay warm my friends.

A GREAT capture of this COLD picture Roxanne. I remember these winters all to well, having moved down south from Wisconsin. Try to stay inside as much as possible and drink lots of Hot Toddy's. LOL

Have a great day and stay warm.

Oh my gosh, Roxanne. That is mighty cold and the snow only makes it colder. I'm sitting here freezing at 50 degrees. You might want to move to Tucson in the winter. Great shot, tho.

Oh you poor thing, today is the first day we got above zero, so you know it will pass, just not fast enough. Hang in there, I did not leave the house for two days.

I lived in South Dakota for a couple of years. Someone there told me sometimes it got so cold water would freeze be the time it hit the sidewalk. Urban myth? I tried it for -10 degrees and it didn't happen.

Thanks for the beautiful snow capture. I think that may be frozen water. You are cold as Alaska Roxanne. Tell me about Global Warming. They don't come on TV right now. Bill
