Completed in 1997 it covers 8 miles over water and sometimes ice. Connects Mainland Canada with Prince Edwards Island. Nicknamed by some as ransom bridge as it is free to travel over to PEI but cost to get back is $40.00 us...lol

Great shot of the bridge as I have stood on the same spot. It is not cheaper going by ferry but it does shock you a bit when you return, but definitely quicker than ferry
