The Blue Courtyard
Santa Catalina Monastery (which is actually a convent), Arequipa, Peru. Whoever had a hand in designing it over 200 years ago had an artist's eye - the colour scheme is predominantly a vibrant sky blue and rich terracotta with lots of interesting nooks and crannies, arches, vistas opening up through doorways and windows, stairways going nowhere,etc - a fascinating place to spend a few hours and loads of memory cards!

Beverley Scott 		  Thanks Michelle and Brett for your comments. I should say that you can't take a bad photo here but it is very easy to - as by the time I finished my visit the light was very harsh with strong shadows.
