	The Rattlesnake Rattlesnake Inn Texas Highway 195 Florence, Texas 5 October 2008 The Rattlesnake Inn is a country cousin to the citified likes of La Carafe (Houston), with "borrowed" street signs, publicity stills of country singers, and a rebel flag on the walls. The only surefire way to change the subject from John McCain and Sarah Palin would be to to mention Jane Fonda .... or ask about the night Conway Twitty's limo stopped in the parking lot and he sent his driver in for sodas. "The Oldest Honkytonk in Williamson County", it opened the day after Prohibition was lifted in 1933. Ice Cold beer, awesome hamburgers , Pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, darts and live music every Friday and Saturday night. Folks come out to the Rattlesnake just to UNWIND! It has to be the most "bar" bar you'll ever see. So if you want pure Texas, then swerve off of I-35 onto Texas 195 and order a Shiner Bock or Lone Star longneck. Jim Baines

I want to know who polishes that bike! It's just shimmering with a glow not unlike the radiance often ascribed to-- "expecting" ladies. Well,all I can ask is... if that Harley ever has offspring, can I have dibs on one of the babies?
