Imagine the equivalent of chasing a tornado to capture the perfect split second image. This image was the result of 3 hours of driving mania to find the absolute best location.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful compliments. This shot was taken in Riding Mountain National Park, located in Central Manitoba.

Nearly all my photographs were taken between there and Winnipeg, the city I live in.

Feel free to view my website to see more. Looking forward to your visit.

Wonderful Mark. Been camping all summer in the Upper Peninsula and Northern MI just waiting for a show like this. Alas...not to be...but there is always next time! Way to be persistent in finding your location...and I'm sure no traffic violations occured, right? LOL

I love your shot and witnessed some awesome Northern Lights last night. Just curious what camera settings you used to capture this picture.

  Hi Kimberley,

I used my pentax spotmatic and had the shutter open for about 20-30 seconds.

Thank you everybody for the compliments.
