Melting Moments
My favorite Scottish beach. Maybe its the indigo mountain backdrop or the windblown desolate perfection of this most beautiful of places. I always feel I can just melt into the place and that photography is purely incidental. This is low tide at the mouth of a small peat stream that twice a day cuts a new path through the caramel soft sand on its way to salt water oblivion. The soft colors are at their most satisfying just before dawn.

Nice work Ian, but don't really understand the 6x7 for working in colors. For me, I don't see the difference with a lighter regular camera. (In B&W, of course, it's a all different story. But I'm living in the same village than Marty Knapp ;)
