It's that time of year for the mushrooms to pop out of the ground. This one looks like a Christmas Tree when it first break ground and then like an umbrella after a few days. I did some research and think this mushroom is an Amanita Pantherina. It said the taste was mild but deadly poisonous. I wonder who did the tasting. Anyway, they are pretty, about four inches across when opened up and look good enough to eat

Probably that's why they're so pretty - to entice the unsuspecting to chow down. Great job showing it off!

  a cool perspective!

What interesting lines they are, Martha. The long leading lines, of course, but also the many, many circular ones. I wonder what wave/tide action causes this. I like that little peek of the ocean to lend perspective too.

5/20/2013 8:13:19 AM

Great lines & patterns. HTD!
