I got down nice and low to capture this puppy eating (sort of) his food. He seemed to be having a grand ol' time munching one then tossing another.

Happy Cocktails & Chocolate Countdown time, everyone! Yup, it’s time once again for the monthly thread that gives us all an opportunity to show off, brag, revel, and hope! Please jump in and share either that one photo you really, really think is going to garner a medal or that one you really, really WISH would bring home the silver or gold.

I have several favorites this month, but I've decided to share "When Puppies Eat," a pretty self explanatory pic!

I'm really looking forward to seeing all your fantastic photos! So much great work is represented here each month.

As always, I'm adding some uploading tips that Chris B. kindly prepared for us:

----------
A few helpful notes to newcomers (or any BP newbies too, contributing to Forum Threads with photos.)

1) Sign into BP completely (name + password.)

2) If you have NOT yet entered an image into the contest for the day,you can use the "Photo ID" method to pull a single, pre-existing image from your Gallery, into this thread. (ie, no need for a duplicate upload!) Be sure to go to your Member Center and write down the Photo ID# in question. Then come to this thread, hit Respond, choose "1" from the drop-down of how many images you wish to attach, and on the next screen, populate the "Photo ID" box at the far right. No need to fill in any of the other fields on the screen.

3) If you HAVE already made a contest for the day before you came to this thread, you cannot use the Photo ID method, and you will have to upload a new copy (from your PC) of your "favorite image" in order to include it in this thread. It will result in a "duplicate" image in your Member Center, but you do NOT have to elect to display it in your Gallery. (So if you have the Free Gallery, it doesn't have to count as one of your 30 max. on display.)

4) Many folks title their freshly-uploaded/duplicate copy (for this thread) something like "April Fav" so that in your Member Center, it stands out from the original upload... and add "Original displayed in my Gallery" in the description.

5) If you see a photo in this thread, and want to comment on it directly, first check to see if any older-dated comments are on it--if not, it is likely the person's "duplicate"---as a courtesy, try to find the original in that person's gallery, and leave a comment there, instead---that way, if they want to delete the duplicate a month later for housecleaning, they don't wipe out any comments.

6) Make a record of all your current-month Contest Entries at the end

of each month; on the last day of the month, BP will reset your "Current Entries" page in your Member Center, to make way for your entries in the next month's contest. The record of entries (say, for May's entries) will make it easier to determine your favorite, when we start this thread next month.

----------

Let the fun begin!

That is such a terrific shot, John; getting down at "dish level" really makes the image stand out.
Here are my 2 favs from June; I picked two this time around, because they are both firsts, photographically, for me... a stitched pano image, and a picture of all things, a live person!

Hello John... And everyone... Can't believe it's time for this again... WOW!!! But then it was late last month before we knew the finalists.. So really, it hasn't been that long since we were here...:)

I have many I am hopeful for from last month... But my absolute fav. is...

Well, time sure flies, huh? Last year I got a finalist with a window, this time I thought I would try a door.

(Now I'm off to buy 2 weeks worth of chocolate and drinks) :)
