sand vs zoom gear

hi. I have an olimpus (of the point-and-shoot type) with an in-built zoom. it takes very good pictures, but the zoom gear broke three times probably due to an extremely small quantity of grains of sand (although I have been extremely careful, this is hard to avoid in the desert). do you know about any camera with built-in zoom not so sensitive to sand and dust in general? thanks

Pentax's WR model IQZooms (IQZoom 95WR and 105WR), are water-resistent, I'd expect them to also keep sand/grit out.

Minolta Vectis Weathermatic, and Vectis Xtreem GX-1/2/3/4 (all use APS film)
