The Fuji Q1 and Canon ELPH Shades Sunshine are "all round", but they're APS film instead of digital. ;-) :D Sorry, just kidding. Your question is really too broad to be answered. You have to narrow it by price range, size, etc.

what is the best all round digital camera? Jon: The one that meets your needs and budget. Seriously though, the Canon EOS 1Ds at $7000. in my personal estimation. Now, in the $1100 range, the Nikon D70, probably. Both are digital SLR cameras. Lenses are extra. Cheers! Peter Burian
