shutter problems?


 
 
My aunt came to me with a question about her camera. One of the horizontal sides of the prints was red or yellow and looked very overexposed. I thought it may be that the shutter is sticking. Does anyone know what would cause this? I scanned one of the prints as an example. Thanks

Dave Cross 		  Hi Tammy.

This looks like a light leak.

If all the prints are the same check the seal of the camera back.

If it's just one or two it may just be a bad film cassette.

Be wary of trying to squeeze an extra fram or two onto a roll, sometimes the last frame is right on the seal and a little light gets in.
