A bubble level (& "a thing that tells time") I'm looking into buying a tripod and in doing my research. I'm confused by the term "bubble level" What is this and do I need a tripod with a bubble level? Any other information you could give on buying tripods would be great. thanks!

Kendell, A bubble level is mounted on top of the tripod just below the camera mount. Its a small round window liquid filled with a small air bubble inside, along with a center mark. This bubble is useful when setting your tripod up on ground that is uneven, say on a hill side. Adjust the tripod legs so that the bubble sets over the mark and you know that your camera & tripod are setting level. The last thing you want is for your camera to fall over.
