how to dye muslin backdrops in more than one color


would like to dye a few backdrops with 2 maybe 3 colors. How do I go about this ? All help is greatly appreciated.

John Wright   Here is my suggestion...

Dye the entire fabric your base color.
Let air dry (at least to a large degree). Then spread the fabric out and use a spray bottle (available at local hobby stores and some supermarkets) to spray additional colors to your preference.

After much research I have found many folks that use the method that you speak of. I even got some instruction from one of the big backdrop suppliers and it is basically the same. I'm going to try my first one this weekend. Thanks for the response, I'll let you know how is goes.
