Use high ISO film ( 800 ---Kodak Portra, Fujicolor Press/Superia, X-TRA )and in lens selection---it all depends on the camera/s you intend to use ( manual or autofocus ) or the lighting conditions ( will you use strobes and umbrella reflectors? ). Discreet Photography---some makeup on the subject will do wonders, and the members of the band will look good on Muslin backgrounds ( Try Denny www.dennymfg.com ). Let the band members feel at ease with some music while you take pics and a good laugh before it all happens will really lighten the atmosphere.
