staring out im jsut starting out I want to get a digital camera be for I leave for the marines I was wondering what anybuddy thinks would be a good camera to us I thing about the eos 300d and if any buddy could give me some sites that I can learn more on them with that would be cool to thanks

An excellent site to read up on would be dpreview.com There can easily be ten to 20 review pages on just one camera. You could cover a lot of ground by going to the end of each review to see the overall conclusions and pros and cons of the test shoot. I have enjoyed the Nikon Coolpix series (I've owned the 5000, 5700, and now the 8700). A possible plus going for the Coolpix series is that you get alot of bang for the buck, and the one lens that comes with the camera is high quality (on the 8700, it is about 35mm to ~240mm). Very portable too (17oz). check out dpreview.com

cool that helps me out some I think mostly im looking for a camera that I can expand on and with the change able lens thats with im likeing with it with all the cameras u have used what name brand or camera do u think would be best for the money and to start out with i dont know much about digital cameras at all but thats the way im needing to go for the military im looking for a good camera that would be nice for a lot of out door and some indoor shots and I like the hole inter changealbe lens thing to
