Photography Question

which camera

We currently have a Minolta XTSI. We like it okay but it doesn't seem to focus and take the picture as quickly as we think it should. We are both fairly dumb when it comes to all this so please be certain that it could be user error! We are thinking about buying a new camera and just selling our on ebay. We have looked around and really liked the Canon Rebel Ti. What we want is just a good camera that we can grow with. One that is easy for me and has more features for him. We do want to use it for portraiture for our daughters but also to take snapshots at the park or when we are out. Do any of you have recommendations. I have looked over the reviews and it is very overwhelming! Thanks

I would suggest that you try the Maxxum 5.
It has what Minolta calls "eye-start", this allows the camera to focus on whatever the photographer is looking at.
Ihave used the maxxum 5 for nearly two years without a problem.
If you are comfortable with the Minolta I see no reason to start over with another brand - Canon,Nikon etc.
