Most slide films incorporate standard E-6 processing...available at any local camera shop, and all types can be used in any film-based camera.
They differ from their print-film counterparts, in that the film in the camera BECOMES the actual slide.

The thing to remember is that slide film has less exposure latitude, and any deviation over or under the proper exposure will be much more apparent than with print film.

Also, the lighting should match the slide film being used or color shifts will occur. There are slide films available for outdoor use, or for using flash ("Daylight Balanced), and those recommended for use indoors with incandescent lighting (like flood lights and standard light bulbs). These are recognized as "Tungsten Balanced", and are indicated with a "T" on the packaging.
