Which Camera Has Quietest Film Transport? Does anyone know which of these Canon EOS cameras have the quietest film transport & I do not want to go to higher end ones: Elan II, Rebel 2000, Rebel TI/300V, A2, 10S Note: Have used Elan II & birds/animals take flight when camera used with continuous shooting. Please advise as it is so very important. Thank you.

The Elan (EOS 100), A2/A2E (EOS 5), Elan II/IIe (EOS 50/50e/55), and Elan 7/7e/7n/7en (EOS 30/33) use the belt-drive "Whisper Driveā¢" for film transport. Of these, the Elan II is marginally louder in mirror slap than the others. The latest generation Elan 7-series is alleged the quietest of these. Canon lenses using Ring-USM autofocus (or Sigma's EX lenses with HSM) are much much quieter than micro-USM or conventional af motors.
