Teleconverter for Dynax 5 300mm lens

I have a minolta dynax 5 which I use with a 75-300mm zoom. I'm going on safari this summer and would love some extra zoom, so am thinking of buying a teleconverter, but firstly I'm very confused about which ones I can use with my camera - none of the info seems to say simple things like which cameras they work with! And secondly I'd love some advice on loss of image quality, losing stops and autofocus for this particular lens.
Hope someone can help, thank you!!!

  Hi Allison!
I can help you with the first part of your question!
Relating to teleconverters,Quantaray & Sigma have teleconverters which will work with your minolta dynax 5. Just ask for a teleconverter with a minolta maxxum mount. The minolta maxxum and the minolta dynax is the same model!
I have the minolta maxxum 5.
