suggestions for taking good outdoor portraits I recently purchased a Maxxum 5 camera and thought it would be cool to try to take my son's senior pictures. I dyed some fabric denim blue for a backdrop and snapped off a roll but had problems with shadows and bad color. Any suggestions? I have 200 speed film. Thanks for any help.

There are many ways you can do this. Try to use flash to cover up your shadows. 200 speed film is good. you could go to a slower speed film but 200 will be good. let me know what your set up is, etc. what do you mean about bad color, etc? using relectors will also help your shadows. kixphotography@yahoo.com
