How to shoot the moon


Hi, I am only just starting to get into photography and was wondering how to photograph the moon? everytime I take a photo of it. it just comes out looking like a light strike across the photo. how can I fix this? appreciate any comments. Thank you

  Use a faster shutter speed.
The streak of light is caused by the rotation of the earth and/or, the moon's movement across the sky.

There were several others who posted similar questions on this subject and were given good advice.
